Join us to learn more about the green movement in Milwaukee and how you can get involved. We’ll hear from four organizations who are working in the environmental space in MKE.

Presenting Organizations:

Clean Wisconsin

Citizen’s Utilities Board

Citizens Utility Board of Wisconsin, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, is a nonprofit consumer advocate for the residential and small business customers of Wisconsin’s utilities. CUB is a voice for fairness for all customers and advocates to help consumers save on their utility bills.

Tom Content from CUB will discuss key issues his group is working on, including opposition to utility proposals to increase costs for customers that are going solar. He will also discuss the top three things everyone can do to save on their energy bills. After the talk he’ll be available to talk to guests about their own utility bills and costs.

Cream City Conservation

Despite expressed interest in increasing the diversity of the environmental workforce, the representation of people of color in the green industry remains under 12% and quickly DECLINING. Cream City Conservation is a social enterprise that works with organizations to help them identify existing practices and cultures that contribute to a racially homogenous workforce. Proceeds from the consulting firm are reinvested into the company’s Corps program, which engages Milwaukee youth in hands-on service to public lands and paid work experience and training.

Come meet the founder and learn how this organization can help foster a culture of belonging and further your company’s inclusion goals.
